GEORGETOWN, 20th April - K. Poonyamitra, a Form Two student from SMK (P) St. George, has officially entered the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for reciting the first 300 digits of Pi. She achieved this feat on February 9, 2026, earning the title for "Most Pi Recited from Memory by a Teenager."

The achievement followed two months of disciplined practice, where she memorized at least 10 digits daily. Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo recognized her success at a local event in George Town, presenting her with a computer and a certificate.

Poonyamitra, a previous winner of "Kids Got Talent Malaysia Season 9" and a runner-up in "ASEAN World Records Rising Starz Icon 2025," has also auditioned for America\'s Got Talent. She hopes her passion for mathematics inspires other students to pursue their own challenges.-Alaiolinews
