CHENNAI – The city of Chennai is set to resonate with melodies of love and celebration this Valentine’s weekend, as acclaimed artists bring two distinct musical experiences to audiences across iconic venues.

 

On Saturday, 14th February, the Jawaharlal Nehru Outdoor Stadium will play host to A.R. Rahman’s magnum opus, ‘The WONDERMENT tour’. The artist, who will be performing at the event, expressed deep admiration for the legendary composer, stating, “It is always an honor sharing the stage with the genius A.R. Rahman.” The tour promises to showcase some of Rahman’s most celebrated works, offering fans a grand musical spectacle befitting the Valentine’s occasion.

 

The musical journey continues on Sunday, 15th February, with an intimate concert at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha. Featuring a collaborative performance by the artist and Sharanya, the event is designed to mirror the warmth of a ‘Living room concert’. The repertoire will include a curated selection of songs – some popular numbers never before performed on stage, alongside timeless classics from renowned composers such as MSV, RD Burman, Kishore Kumar, Jaidev, and Illaiyaraja. “This will be my songs and music I love,” shared the artist, extending a warm invitation to music enthusiasts.

 

With both concerts poised to celebrate the enduring connection between music and love, Chennai’s cultural calendar is set for a memorable Valentine’s weekend.
